Basic construction of droplet analyzer(CLICK: Zoom In/Out)The patterning by tiny droplet of liquid materials is expected to be new manufacturing technology for resource saving. When a patterning design is performed, the dot and a line width are determined by the droplet diameter on a substrate. Therefore, the contact angle of the spreading width decided with a combination of a substrate and a material is important physical properties.

Droplet analyzer ODS-A series
The system, which is consist of electrostatic-type dispensing and high speed camera, is possible to measure contact angle and spreading width of formed droplet on a substrate by image analysis of the movie that droplet size is changing in a short time.


It means that it conducts many droplets formation with moving the substrate or changing the volume automatically. Therefore, statistical data of liquid properties (contact angle and spreading width) are obtained.

Controller (high voltage source, signal unit), computer, and software for image analysis are contained in the system.

Since the dispensing part and image process part are interlocking, if it programs the computer to measurement conditions in advance, the statistical data of physical average and variation are obtained efficiently.
